Robin's Yayasan Bumi
Sehat Foundation is
licensed and recognized as an
Indonesian organization.
This gives her the
advantage of full acceptance on all levels
of Indonesian society, and allows her
to quickly give aid in circumstances where foreign
organizations might encounter red tape.
For instance, Yayasan Bumi Sehat was one of
the first aid organizations to reach Aceh
after the terrible tsunami hit there.
While good for the
suffering people, this
arrangement disallows direct tax-deductible
status from American donors.
Arrangements have
therefore been made with The Sakthi
Foundation of Fairfield, Iowa, an American
IRS-approved, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization,
to collect funds earmarked for Robin's use.
Upon receiving donations earmarked for
Robin's work, Sakthi sends an acknowledgment
to the donor, and wires the funds to Robin at her
request.
Such "umbrella"
organizational arrangements are common in the United
States, to enable smaller non-profit,
under-staffed organizations to utilize the
efficiencies of a larger organizational
unit.
The Sakthi Foundation is a
fully registered, legally compliant,
tax-exempt 501(c)3
U.S. charitable organization whose
documentation is available on request.
Sakthi's CEO and his wife are a
close personal friends of
Robin, who delivered their child under
amazing circumstances years ago.
The all-volunteer Sakthi Foundation distributes funds
to Robin which have been earmarked for her
or her Yayasan Bumi Sehat organization, to her
for the lowest handling fee of
any we have seen (5%)--which fee it uses for its
own commendable service work and not for
salaries.
While the Sakthi
Foundation is primarily concerned with
education and service regarding an ancient
Indian body of physical health treatments
and spiritual growth, it is also very happy
to support Robin's work. Sakthi also directly supports
the education of orphaned children
in India. For further information on Sakthi's programs, visit
