HI Bruce,
Thanks so much THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
for the recent donations. Did you and Pradheep
get the receipts for the 2004 donations? I had
them emailed from the yayasan office at the
clinic. We also mailed him hard copies. Here is
the letter I sent to Grace... I will ask her if I
should communicate directly with Gregor... Let her
carry the ball for a while, she’s doing a good
job, I don’t want to be a pest.
Love you – Wil called, is working intense
hours, sounds good. My team in Aceh is a bit
stressed. I speak to them daily, I’m a bit
worried. The depression (due to post-traumatic
stress) is getting to them. I am supposed to stay
here in Bali and work on healing my back, and
delivering oodles of babies... But think I may
need to fly over to Aceh to do some “mothering” --
I have my family to lift me up, and perhaps my
tattered faith... Most of my team are alone – and
feel lost in Aceh after a couple of weeks. Our
dear cook, Ibu Aysha, has fallen into a deep
depression because she lost so many family
members, so the food is inedible. The medical
team is just too busy doing patient care day and
night to cook for themselves.
It would be great if we had enough donations to
hire a cook and a small support staff for
Aceh.
The births in Bali have been wonderful. Just
when we were seriously running out of sterile
gloves, Jon Fawcette Foundation (Australian
Rotary) gave us a heap of them... Things may fall
apart, but they do work out.
Love and peace... Ibu Robin
