Robin Receives
the 2006 Alexander Langer Award

Robin Lim has
been given the prestigious 2006 Alexander Langer
Award in Italy. The Alexander Langer Award is
given to one person or institution each year who
demonstrates to the rest of the world the ability
to construct bridges between opposing realities,
to deal with conflicts in a spirit of
non-violence, and to look lovingly at the
non-human sentient world.
****
Alexander Langer (1946–1995) was a
journalist, translator, teacher and politician,
who made a real impact in his own society, and
whose memory has inspired the establishment of a
foundation for the support and recognition of
people who work single-handedly for social
benefit.

The Alexander
Langer Foundation is supported by 180 European and
Italian parliamentarians, members of regional and
city councils, journalists, professors,
researchers, educators, human rights and
environmental activists, and citizens from
different European countries. Foundations,
associations, committees and Italian and European
publications have adhered and contributed.
Cultural associations, streets, parks, halls have
been named in memory
of Alex Langer."
